I don't get it: what is a music major's relationship to five classes?

Music majors enroll in over 5 classes because some of them are 0-1 units. But with that 1 unit, we are required to do a minimum 8 hours of lab/practice time in a week and also extra rehearsal time. For example, right now I’m enrolled in 8 classes and it’s only 15 units. I would be SOL if I wasn’t taking my Liberal Ed courses. Fun stuff huh?
